I am thrilled to see thought/work going into such a great project. I am embarrassed to say that this is the first that I am hearing about the project - I am not sure how I missed it. I will be more involved from now on, for sure. I am concerned about the re-location of the basketball courts and the addition of the skate park area in the same location...My husband and I purchased 3101 E. Broad St., not only for the great house that it has the potential to be (we are working hard on this) but because of the general location. Broad St. is a busy, main street but 31st St. offers just the opposite. It is a quiet block were we thought we could be sure to enjoy our new yard in peace while still being part of this vibrant neighborhood. The proximity to the current tennis court was another major reason that we purchased this property. We currently live in a different part of the Hill but will move as soon as the house is renovated - the ability to look out the window to see if the court is clear really was an incentive for us. I realize that this park is for the whole community, not just us but I am sure that I am not alone in wondering what will happen to our peaceful backyards when a skate park and basketball courts arrive...Is there any way to place those areas in a location that is further away from residences? I will try to be at the meeting(s) to see what all sides have to say but I have class on Tuesday evenings. I wanted to at least offer my thoughts this way and I appreciate the ability to do so. Thank you.
